Giving Glasgow Donation
Shettleston Men’s Shed is a charity that helps men alleviate isolation or depression caused by lack of work or loneliness caused by the loss of a partner. The club includes a workshop, craft room and computer hub.
The Men’s Shed was formed in 2014 and is located in the East End of Glasgow. Membership has grown from the original 6 members in 2014 to over 60 members in 2018. Men come from all walks of life and represent an exceptionally wide range of life skills and professional abilities. Ages vary from mid-50’s to their eldest member of 84 years old. Some members are sent by their GP, others are carers who need respite themselves.
The £500 donation will be used to cover ongoing costs and keep the charity running.
