Sharing our success

Following an unprecedented couple of years for members, the credit union, and the wider economy, the Board was pleased this year to be in a position to propose a 0.15% dividend for savers and an 8% unsecured loan interest rebate for borrowers.

We’re delighted to announce that at the AGM on 8 December, the membership voted* in favour of these rates, which reward our savers and borrowers whilst maintaining adequate reserves for the credit union’s future.

Dividend and loan interest rebate payments have now been paid into members’ accounts.

*Votes were pre-cast online and by post, and in person on the night.

Credit unions are all about people helping people, and our members have proved time and time again that you really are the best when it comes to doing well by Glasgow.

That’s why this year, we’re piloting a scheme to allow members to donate some or all of their dividend/loan interest rebate to charity.

We’ve chosen Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity to receive any funds raised from this pilot scheme. The charity invests in equipment, research and the improvement of facilities to support those who care for young lives at their most vulnerable.
Making a donation is entirely voluntary and will be managed exclusively via the mobile app and Members’ Area of the website. The first time you login to your account between 13 December 2021 and 14 January 2022, you’ll see a pop-up giving you the option to donate to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.

Follow the simple instructions to find out how much of a dividend and unsecured loan interest rebate you’ve received and then choose to donate or skip. For ease, anything under £1 can be donated in full, but for anything over £1, you’ll have the option to choose how much to donate using a slider.

We’ll collect all donations before 21 January 2022, and will email members once donations have been taken, along with the total amount donated.

If you don’t already have our mobile app, you can download it using the links in the footer. Alternatively, access your account via our Member’s Area now:
