Congratulations to Donna Foote – who received our Heart of Glasgow Award at the end of April.
Donna Foote is a voluntary youth club worker in south side of Glasgow. She was nominated by Stephanie Morris who met Donna in 2019 when both of them were involved in a community arts project. Stephanie told us “Donna gives so much time and support to the community, helping people of all different ages.”
When the COVID pandemic hit, Donna sprung into action helping the vulnerable in the community delivering prescriptions, food parcels and linking people up with local support services.
Donna was delighted to receive her award, but told us “I’m just one of many volunteers that are helping the community. It’s very much at team effort but it’s lovely to be recognised.”
