In December, the Halliday Foundation received a £1,000 donation from Giving Glasgow. The Foundation supports rough sleepers, and people who have previously been homeless and are now moving into their first tenancy. Their twice weekly street walking teams provide hot food, warm clothes, haircuts, and a listening ear.
Each week, they distribute around 50 food parcels to their services users, and the Giving Glasgow donation was used to provide some seasonal items to help reduce the heighten exclusion that homeless people, and the economically vulnerable feel during the festive season.
