Giving Glasgow donated £2,500 to Glasgow Street Aid, a charity providing medical and welfare assistance in Glasgow city centre.
Glasgow Street Aid’s volunteers work out of the city centre every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening from 7:30pm to midnight. Their aim is to take the pressure off our emergency services by providing urgent emergency care. They have been working throughout the pandemic and over the last five months they have assisted over 180 people on the streets.
The donation will be used to help them buy an ambulance which will allow them to treat more patients and transport them to A&E, therefore reducing the burden on existing NHS ambulance resources.
