Giving Glasgow helps Crimestoppers Scotland

Giving Glasgow is our charitable giving fund, which helps improve our community through donations to local charities and good causes.

One of our most recent donations was £500 to Crimestoppers Scotland.  Angela Parker, National Manager for Crimestoppers Scotland said, ‘We are extremely grateful for the £500 awarded by Glasgow Credit Union, which will be used to help raise awareness of our work in the communities who need our support the most.’

Crimestoppers Scotland is an independent charity, dedicated to fighting crime across Scotland. They provide a service that enables members of the public to give information anonymously about crime or criminals, and work in communities where people are experiencing crime issues, ranging from drug dealing to domestic abuse.

They operate a Fearless Youth Programme, providing 11 to 16 year-olds an anonymous way to pass on information related to crime, and provide free educational resources to schools and youth groups, giving young people to information and tools to act against crime.
