Give a Dog a Bone is a unique charity – tackling loneliness for older adults via animal companionship and friendship. The charity provides two main services: enabling older adults, financially, to adopt a rescue pet, and offering support to older adults from their community space – where older adults can make new friends, learn new skills and mix with dogs
They received a £500 donation from Giving Glasgow which will be used to support their Shawlands based community space, allowing them to continue to provide free activities such as seated yoga, group dog walks and Spanish for beginners.
Support dog, Marlie, pictured with helper, Heather, was on hand to receive the donation!
