Beatson Cancer Charity is dedicated to ensuring people with cancer in the west of Scotland receive the best care and treatment possible. Giving Glasgow made a £920 donation towards their hair and wig service, which is based within the Wellbeing Centre at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre.
Their Wellbeing Centre features dedicated hairdressing and wig-fitting rooms, staffed by hairdressers experienced in dealing with the sensitive nature of hair loss. They help patients choose a wig that makes them feel comfortable and confident. It supports patients from diagnosis, through treatment and recovery offering consultations, head shaves, scarf tying techniques, haircuts as it grows back, wig supply and advice.
