Whether you’re going to an organised fireworks display, holding your own event for friends and family, or simply staying at home and watching from the window – it’s always nice to have some bonfire night snacks ready for when the hunger kicks in.
Here are our top 3 treats for bonfire night:
Classic Hot Chocolate (makes enough for 4 people)
Ingredients:
In a pan, bring the milk to a simmer and add the chocolate powder. Stir well until the chocolate powder has dissolved (taste and add sugar if required). Drop a couple of marshmallows into each mug, pour over the hot chocolate mix and enjoy!
Bonfire Biscuits (makes 8)
Ingredients:
Place a tsp of chocolate spread and a marshmallow on to 8 of the biscuits, and then top with another biscuit. Wrap each stack in tin foil and use BBQ tongs to place at the edge of your bonfire (alternatively pop them in the oven!). After about 5 minutes, carefully remove from the fire or oven, unwrap and eat while hot and gooey!
Chocolate ‘sparklers’ (makes 24)
Ingredients:
Dip the tip of each chocolate finger in hot water for a couple of seconds to gently melt the chocolate – then dip the end into your sugar sprinkles. Voila! – chocolate sparklers!
