3% Dividend Payout

Another successful year for Glasgow Credit Union meant another impressive DIVIDEND PAYOUT for members. 

At the 24th Annual General Meeting, held on 22nd November 2012, members voted to agree a 3% dividend on savings which has now been paid into all members accounts.

Glasgow Credit Union wins award

Our Consolidation Loan product has won a prestigious Social Enterprise Award, despite facing tough competition from organisations such as Give a Car and Kibble Education and Health Care. There were over 300 entries received for the various awards, in which Glasgow Credit Union won the Best New Product or Service category. Glasgow Credit Union staff raise £327 for Breast Cancer Care

Staff at Glasgow Credit Union have taken part in a Strawberry Tea fundraising event for Breast Cancer Care, raising £327 for the charity.

Kind-hearted staff had spent their evenings baking up tasty treats for the event and on Friday 24th August, enjoyed indulging in their hard work at the Strawberry Tea Afternoon, taking part in games and quizzes, with prizes kindly donated by staff and local businesses.

Strawberry Tea is Breast Cancer Care’s summer fundraising campaign where the charity asks everyone around the UK to fundraise by holding a strawberry related event. It is an easy and fun way to raise money for the charity and the perfect excuse for people to get together, eat strawberry goodies, and support the 49,000 people who are diagnosed with breast cancer every year in the UK.

The event was organised by staff member Cheryl Lawn, who is a Team Co-ordinator in the Payment Support department. She said: “A huge thank you goes out to the generosity of all the people who came along and showed their support for Breast Cancer Care. After this year’s success I’m already thinking what I can do next year and hope everyone will be able to come along and enjoy all the strawberry treats once again!”

In the UK, someone is diagnosed with breast cancer every 10 minutes. The money raised from Strawberry Tea events will enable Breast Cancer Care to continue providing free support and information to anyone affected by the disease, when they need it most.

3% Dividend Paid

Good news for all Glasgow Credit Union savers!  At the Annual General Meeting held on the 24th November, the membership voted to agree a 3% dividend on savings.  The dividend has now been paid into members accounts and is available to access.
