Since 14th January 2005, general insurance activity is regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA). Glasgow Credit Union is permitted by the FSA to engage in general insurance mediation activity through advised and non-advised means. Life savings (LS) insurance and loan protection (LP) insurance do not come under FSA general insurance regulation.
