Glasgow Credit Union is led by a volunteer Board of Directors, elected from within the membership. The Board of Directors are accountable to members and it is their role to define strategy, approve business plans and to challenge and support the Chief Executive. The Board performs an assurance role and acts as a conduit for members’ views.
The size of Glasgow Credit Union requires that it be managed by a team of paid professionals. The Chief Executive is accountable to the Board and to members for general performance. The Chief Executive is responsible for all operational matters and relies on the management team for the day to day running of the business.
